It's hard to imagine Adrien Brody as a tough manly military man. With muscles and guns and other manly stuff. Royce is an ex-military man turned stone-cold mercenary, who finds himself on the Predator planet.

As the humans band together to survive, he becomes the de-facto leader of this group of violent killers. Doesn't sound like Adrien Brody, does it? But judging from this, they've just about pulled it off.

NOLAN (Laurence Fishburne)

He's been everything from Othello to Morpheus, to even the head of CSI, but Laurence Fishburne is never more at home than on an alien planet, preferably carrying some kind of massive weapon.

When the other human prey turn up on the Predators' hunting ground, they find Noland, a long-time inhabitant of the world, who has survived in hiding. You may think of Fishburne as "that guy who isn't Samuel L Jackson", but remember this: he's never done a Virgin Media advert in his life.

ISABELLE (Alice Braga)

If you're going to have just one woman in your group of cutthroat killers, Alice Braga isn't a bad choice. She made her name on the streets of City of God before graduating to fare such as I am Legend and Repo Men.

Isabelle is the expert on sniper skills in the band of survivors. A veteran of the IDF (Israeli Defense Forces), her deadly knowledge of guns makes her one tough nut to crack.

CUCHILLO (Danny Trejo)

If Robert Rodriguez is making a film, it's not long until Danny Trejo gets involved - an old-hand of Rodriguez's rough and tumble chaos since the days of Desperado, Danny is a mental Mexican you don't want to mess with.

Cuchillo is a Los Zeta enforcer fresh from the drug cartel wars in Baja, Mexico. And, with his ruthless killing streak and bad-ass moustache, if you're going to have someone fresh from a Mexican drug war, you can only ever pick one man: Danny Trejo.
