Detailing the grief of a bereaved college professor after his male partner passes away, it's a sad and nuanced performance from the lead man, which will see many swoon even more than before. Especially given that the film's set in the 60s and directed by fashion legend Tom Ford.

A Single Man is a romantic tale of love interrupted, the isolation that is part of the human condition, and ultimately the importance of the seemingly smaller moments in life.
