After The Ides of March UK premiere on Wednesday, Alexander Payne's Hawaii-based film about a father and a husband was bound to invite yet more questions about George Clooney's desperate need to find a nice girl, settle down and become a dad. But other issues were raised, thankfully, and the Shallene Woodley, Sideways director Alexander Payne and Clooney discussed a range of topics, from Batman and the film's tropical location to the importance of reading scripts. Here are five things we learned from The Descendants press conference:

Ralph Fiennes has been wowing audiences with his directorial debut Coriolanus - including us. Taking Shakespeare's Rome and replacing it with Serbia, screenwriter John Logan has kept the play's themes of war and betrayal firmly relevant to the modern day. So what's the secret to updating Shakespeare? And was Jon Snow the most talented newsreader on set? Here are five things we learned from the Coriolanus LFF press conference:

Shame – a truly devastating bit of brilliance – premiered last night at the London Film Festival. It was on again today for those in the mood to be moved, shocked, and mesmerised by Steve McQueen’s ability to create near-perfect moments of cinema. (And, I feel obliged to add, if you want to see Michael Fassbender naked.) The press conference, also held yesterday, was an equally fascinating sight. Not just because Michael Fassbender was there, and because the co-writer (Abi Morgan) and producer Iain Canning had interesting things to say about the film, but because the panel (particularly director McQueen) were just as unflinching in their responses to some of the questions that were asked. As a result, the edited highlights (below) don’t quite to justice to the full discussion of a staggering piece of cinema. Here are four things that they cut out from the Shame press conference:

The London Film Festival opened last night with 360, Fernando Meirelles' globe-trotting tale of interconnected romances. Unfortunately, it's a little bit pants (read our 360 LFF review). But while this modern take on Schnitzler's play La Ronde lacks the sexual tension of syphilis-ridden Vienna or Contagion's risk of catching rabies off Gwyneth Paltrow, writer Peter Morgan is pleased with the script, and the cast enjoy the global scale of events - even if no-one else does. So why on earth did Meirelles and Morgan make 360 in the first place? And where did it all go wrong? Here are five things we learned from the London Film Festival's 360 press conference:

When it comes to amusing interviews, you can't beat a bit of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. If you put them together in a press conference with Kristen Wiig, Sigourney Weaver, Joe Lo Tuglio, Jason Bateman and director Greg Mottola, you've got the greatest roomful of funny people since the film Paul. Which, by an coincidence, is exactly what they were there to talk about.
Comprising of Arrested Development actors, sci-fi geeks, Adventureland directors and movie legends, the ensemble spent a lot of time throwing around entertaining in-jokes. Here's what they had to say about aliens, Christians, and Steven Spielberg...

It's been 28 years since we last saw The Grid, and plenty has changed. It's gone from hand-drawn effects over the top of black cushions to sexy, stunning and sleek. A lot is thanks to the CGI, which is genuinely impressive for most of the movie. But how do you go about updating The Grid? You can't just shut it down on Sundays and disrupt The Dude's weekend commute. Joseph Kosinski, Olivia Wilde and Jeff Bridges all sit down to chat about making Tron: Legacy. The costumes, the 3D, and THAT face...

Given the sheer brilliance of The Social Network, it was imperative that we interviewed someone about the film, or at least the phenomenon that is Facebook. But with Mark Zuckerberg still ignoring my friend requests, we went for the next best thing: the guy pretending to be Mark Zuckerberg on screen. And his co-stars. And the guy who wrote the whole thing. And so we sat down to witness the combined talent of Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, Justin Timberlake and West Wing creator/Studio 60 legend Aaron Sorkin. Here's what they had to say about Facebook, Faust and summing up an entire generation of young people.

We love it when a press conference comes together. Especially if it involves four men accused of a crime they didn't commit, struggling to answer questions after a crazy premiere in London the night before. But answer questions they did, covering everything from quitting smoking to getting a suntan. They even touched upon the recent decision to axe the UK Film Council, which Liam Neeson (Hannibal) described as "quite appalling".
Neeson was joined by Bradley Cooper (Face), Sharlto Copley (Murdock), Quinton "Rampage" Jackson (B.A.), Jessica Biel (Col. Sosa) and director Joe Carnahan to discuss bringing the iconic 80s TV show back to the modern day.
The A-Team is in cinemas now, and you can read our review over here, but why would you do that when you can hear about Sharlto Copley talking to plants?

I pity the fool who wasn't on the red carpet on Tuesday night, walking around Leicester Square with The A-Team. Which pretty much means I pity myself - although I did get to shout questions at them at the press conference the following morning. You can read about that here. But if mute celebrities are you thing and you get turned on by still photos of Liam Neeson, then rejoice! Yes, we've got a steaming hot selection of sexy photos, of everyone from Jessica Biel and Bradley Cooper to Joe Carnahan, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and District 9's Sharlto Copley. Who sadly didn't come dressed as Braveheart. Or a prawn.
The A-Team is out now in UK cinemas. You can check out our review over here, or read on for the super-pretty photos of the premiere. Or do both. Like one after the other. You can bet Hannibal Smith would approve of that. He loves it when... oh, you get the idea. Here are the pictures:
