The first Sam Mendes Skyfall videoblog has turned up over at 007.com. There's zilch in the way of set footage and it's all generic EPK chatter without any behind-the-scenes insight at all (see The Hobbit production diaries for some superb, in-depth Peter Jackson action). But as an intro to a series of video blogs, it proves three things about the American Beauty director:

1. He's intelligent and seems to know what he's doing.

2. He's rather lovely. And so is his beard.

3. The dude knows how to wear a hat.

Interesting to note that they only use Casino Royale music in the background - no Bond theme or music from Quantum of Solace. They know they failed with the last one then.
