Sylvester Stallone blew away Leicester Square last night with his butch face, sweaty arms and grunting vocal talents. No, he wasn't out for a birthday steak with his mates - it was the UK premiere of The Expendables.

Packed full of action (and as many action stars as you can mention - except for Steven Seagal), it sees Stallone pair up with Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Jet Li, Bruce Willis, Steve Austin and Arnold Schwarzenegger. And some of them were around to swagger down London's red carpet. 

Statham and Lundgren entertained the crowds, along with producer Avi Lerner, but it was all about Sly really: "He knows what he's doing and he knows how to get the best out of someone," enthused The Stath, all big shades and no hair.
